LIPOACID®
Lipoacid® is a highly active scavenger of free radicals, combatting the build up and creation of oxidative stress in the skin as a result of external and internal influences. Lipoacid® fights the causes of aging, to maintain and promote healthy youthful skin. It contains three brilliant free radical scavengers; Alpha Lipoic Acid, Ascorbic Acid and ‘Dioic’ acid.
Alpha Lipoic AcidAlpha Lipoic Acid occurs naturally in the body and is the most effective antioxidant that acts on the lipidic (fat soluble) and hydrophilic (water soluble) parts of the cell, simultaneously helping to regenerate Vitamin C and Vitamin E present in the skin. It also penetrates to the deepest layers of the skin - as demonstrated by sophisticated scientific tests. It improves the skin’s barrier functions, preventing moisture loss and thus acts as an excellent anti-aging factor.
Ascorbic Acid
L-Ascorbic Acid is a liposoluble form of Vitamin C and is a very potent free radical scavenger in its own right. It effectively counters the formation of free radicals, thus preventing oxidative stress. Alpha Lipoic Acid works synergistically with Ascorbic Acid, boosting its activity and maintaining its integrity.
’Dioic’ Acid
Dioic Acid (or Octadecenedioic Acid) is another potent free radical scavenger that also works with Alpha Lipoic Acid to reduce excessive pigmentation and to counter increased pigment production. Susceptibility to increased pigmentation may follow diminished hormonal control where the body is less able to ‘restrain’ the pigment-producing cells from over-activity.
The combination of anti-oxidants in Lipoacid® is ideal in not only reducing oxidative stress, but also helps to prevent age spots.
The LIPOACID® Range
Lipoacid® is available as an Intensive Cream and as a dietary supplement. Lipoacid® Intensive Cream contains a special organic pigment UV Filter that can counter the damage caused by UVA radiation. It also supplies a moisturising action.
The Lipoacid® Combi supplement contains Vitamin C, Vitamin E and L-Cysteine, with Lipoic Acid and polyunsaturated fatty acids. It provides key nutrients for supporting effective antioxidant action and is based on the action of lipoic acid which is normally present in our body. Lipoic acid, previously mentioned as one of the most powerful anti-oxidants, stimulates the production of Glutathione, another potent anti-oxidant present in our body.
