Erythema and Thread Vein Control - Overview
The main triggering factor for erythema and thread veins is Ultra-Violet Light (UV), probably the primary stimulator of hyper reddening skin over time. Hence it often develops in facial areas most exposed to UV. Sufferers may have an outdoor lifestyle, like an outdoor job or participate in hobbies such as gardening. Remember that clouds do not protect us from UV damage.
Skin becomes increasingly sensitive to a whole array of triggers ranging from physical (excessive rubbing), chemical (perfumes) to environmental (wind & sun). Internal triggers can be metabolic hormones) or dietary (alcohol, spicy foods). Continuous exposure to triggers eventually reduces skin tolerance thresholds to reddening and symptoms become increasingly severe and chronic, leading to a hyper-reactive skin.

Synchrorose® protects the skin from external triggers and raises the skin’s tolerance to internal triggers. It raises the skins tolerance threshold to chemical stimulation and improves skin functioning in managing the reddening response once triggered.

SENSICURE®
Desensitise the Skin From Irritation
Sensicure® is an effective product which delivers a calming action to rapidly & effectively control the signs of irritation; as well as a desensitising effect whereby the products increase the tolerance thresholds of easily irritated skin, to reduce the frequency and degree of itching and burning. It also has the ability to maintain the natural protective functions of the skin while also hydrating to reduce unpleasant tightness.
Its triple-action formula comprises barrier lipids which help prevent water loss and boost Essential Fatty Acids in the skin; Xylitol, an effective water-binding agent which boosts the level of water in the upper layer of skin; and MSM which is an excellent anti-inflammatory with a de-sensitising and anti-irritating effect.
Sensicure® is safe and does not damage skin cells or and when compared to hydrocortisone, a well known medical agent for calming skin conditions, it was shown to be just as effective at reducing irritation but without thinning the skin as steroid creams can do. It was shown to calm skin receptors effectively and should be seen as a non medical alternative to hydrocortisone.

Free Radical Scavengers To Relieve Oxidative Stress
Exposure to free radicals generated from a whole host of environmental factors (including UV radiation, spicy foods and alcohol) can trigger a reddening response in those susceptible to reddening.
Lipoacid® is designed as a highly active scavenger of free radicals thereby combating the build up and creation of oxidative stress in the skin as a result of external and internal influences. Alpha Lipoic Acid is a highly potent (if not, the most active) free radical scavenger. Unchecked, free radicals lead to early skin cell death and can trigger reddening.
Lipoacid® also fights the causes of aging and helps maintain and promote healthy, youthful skin. It also has a firming affect on the skin by increasing the skin cells water holding potential. The ingredients help fix water in the surface skin cell layer and enhance moisture loss control.

TERPROLINE®
Skin Healing, Recovery and Scar Prevention
Terproline® is a group of products designed to improve and promote scar reduction and recovery from numerous dermatological procedures. Used before and/or after many cosmetic procedures it can improve recovery times by up to 50%, as shown in clinical and medical trials.
In a clinical trial performed in Cologne, Germany in 1997, Terproline® was shown to have a marked difference in reducing post operative erythema. In the trial, 52 people having a clinical treatment were split in 4 distinict groups, where three groups applied differing levels of Terproline®, and the remaing group applied no Terproline® at all.
Using different kinds of measurement, the Terproline®-applying groups reported less erythema compared to the group without cream application. In many cases the erythema had completely vanished, whereas in 25% of the non-Terproline® users, the skin was still visibly red.
