Synchroline Creams are patented formulas for improving a range of skin conditions.

In order to deliver the active ingredients intact and to the right level one needs to get the ingredients into the skin across cell membranes and cell layers so the active ingredients reach the target cells whether they be sebaceous cells, melanocytes or fibroblasts to name but a few target areas. The ingredients need to be protected from free radicals and enzymes which will start to degrade them as soon as they enter the skin. They need to reach the target areas in sufficient concentration to exert an influence to create a positive benefit in a sustained and targeted way

Oleosomes are the key

Oleosomes are patented multi-laminate molecular structures with lipid soluble inactive layers interspersed with active ingredient layers. This allows the ingredients to cross membranes while also protecting and sustaining the key active ingredients.

Through passive diffusion and active transport along concentration gradients the ingredients achieve active levels at the right level in the skin to influence natural processes.

Many other products use Liposomes which is a more simple structure like a ‘Malteser’, whereby the active ingredients (honeycomb centre) is protected by an inactive outer layer (chocolate) which can cross lipid membranes. However once the structure is broken open then all the ingredients are released.

Oleosomes can be compared to multiple ‘Maltesers’ where one large one contains many small ones and each small one contains many more even smaller ones. This means that when the outer larger structure is split open, some of the active ingredients are released but the smaller inner structures carry on further into the skin. This protects the active ingredients for longer from enzymatic and free radical damage so that when they are released at the target then they are able to exert maximum effect. 

Therefore it is important to stick to the dosage and apply correctly to establish effective penetration and concentration and apply continuously even when the condition appears to be improved or resolved.
