Tebiskin®LC Lightening Cream

Core treatment to normalise excess pigmentation

Tebiskin LC

Tebiskin® LC contains four unique ingredients that synergise to establish normal pigment production over a number of weeks to create an even skin tone. The ingredients target three different phases of melanin manufacture inside the melanocyte, while a fourth ingredient stabilises the melanocyte itself.

This means new skin cells with less melanin will rise to the skin’s surface to replace older darker ones. Results begin to appear from 14 to 42 days and should improve over time.

Before and after images incorporating Tebiskin® LC

Can the Tebiskin® LC be used as your main pigmentation treatment?

Yes. The key ingredients change the skin to directly target the key melanin (pigment) making process but without damaging long term the skins ability to make pigment. One should be wary of other products containing hydroquinone and hydroquinone releasing ingredients such as bearberry and arbutin containing creams.

What is the real innovation of the pigmentation therapy with the Thiospot® products?

Tebiskin® LC utilises 4 ingredients synergistically. Each ingredient can work on its own to reduce pigment production and each works on a different stage of the pigment manufacturing process. The 4 ingredients together combine to give a result as good as a 4% hydroquinone cream but without the associated risks being reported with hydroquinone cream related to cancer.

Who is Tebiskin® LC designed for? (e.g. males, females, teenagers,)

Tebiskin® LC is designed for pigmentation types whether it is sun damage, sun spots, age spots, melasma, or pregnancy mask. However different pigmentations can have different features and causes and one may need to vary their treatment programme.

Do any of SkinMed®’s products contain parabens or harmful ingredients?

No, absolutely not. SkinMed®’s products are safe to use for all skin types and will not harm your health or your skin – there are no associated side effects with these products.

Will Tebiskin® LC work?

Tebiskin® LC is a highly effective pigmentation treatment and works in over 75% of those who use it, and works for the long term. 25% get complete resolution and can stop using once the pigmentation has gone. 25% it will reduce almost completely and one can stop usage and it will remain almost clear (clear so no-one else would notice) and in 25% of people it reduces it effectively but if one stops using Thiospot it will come back and so a maintenance dose is needed to keep the area clear

Can the Tebiskin® LC be used with other pigmentation treatments?

We have found adding in other things like mild exfoliating cleansers and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) containing products can improve results further. Lastly, for resistant pigmentation, we use clinic treatments for difficult situations.

Can I use Tebiskin® LC while pregnant and breastfeeding?

We have no data to support usage or not, and so it is not recommended. Salicylic containing products are not recommended in pregnancy.

Is this product vegan?

To claim that a product is vegan-friendly is difficult for all cosmetics producing companies, we can say, however:

  • We don’t test our products on animals
  • We don’t use raw materials of animal origin (but synthetic ones)
  • We don’t use ingredients that are tested on animals

Why is it then difficult to claim vegan-friendly?

The raw materials have in the past may have been tested on animals by some suppliers in order to check the effect and to establish the effective quantities etc.

Our suppliers are not necessarily among them, but it is difficult to know now who has and hasn’t used animal testing among suppliers.
